TIP OF THE MONTHRepeat Visitor Identification: Target your Returning Customers All the industry experts keep telling you that it’s less expensive to keep an existing customer than to acquire a new one. OK, so how do you find them? The Repeat Visitor Identification icon will appear on the Web Operating Window (WOW) the minute a returning customer enters your site. If you then click on the History icon on your toolbar, you can find a complete history of which pages they visited and when and if you chatted with them. In next month’s newsletter, we will include tips and tricks from HumanClick users, so write us directly to: newsletter@liveperson.com. Please put "Tips and Tricks" in the Subject line. THE HUMANS BEHIND HUMANCLICK:Audrey , Web Marketing Director Behind the icons and bells at HumanClick, you will find a committed staff of hard-working people dedicated to making sure that you get the best service and features from HumanClick. Being in the business of Humanizing the Net, we decided to start a column to take you behind the scenes to meet the Humans at HumanClick. “It’s not so easy writing Help Files and FAQs between contractions” says Audrey, HumanClick’s Web Marketing Director, “but with the Pro version set to launch, we have to give our customers the support they’ve grown to expect from HumanClick.” Audrey, days from giving birth, is tying up loose ends before starting her maternity leave. Giving and getting support on the Internet is nothing new to Audrey. Four years ago, her two-year-old son, Yarden, was diagnosed with cancer. To channel her emotions and to inspire others, Audrey set up a Web site called “Yarden’s Fun Zone”: http://littledolphin.tripod.com/index.html . Since her son’s passing, Audrey continues to update the site to serve as an inspiration for other families in similar predicaments. "I have discovered that the Internet is not only an unlimited source of information, but for me, in my personal life, it has become at times a source of support and inspiration. People often open up and reveal themselves on the 'Net more than in person and the experience of connecting with others has become truly fulfilling. That’s why I like working at HumanClick… where it's not just about "selling software" but more about the "personal touch", says Audrey with a smile. |
